Since 1936, there have been many recorded sightings of the thylacine. In fact, sightings were a common occurrence until the 1960s. Many people believe that they have seen a thylacine , none of these sightings have ever been confirmed. These sightings have taken place all over Australian, most of them take place down near and around in Tasmania.
Provided below are two stories of resent sightings of the Thylacine

what happened:
I was walking through selectively cleared area at the rear of the property which backs on to wood forests of eucalyptus which meets onto Dularcha National Park . I had been at my garden which is on the ridge and had gone down through a track id cleared down the hill. As i was coming back up and about to leave that area I thought a goanna was coming through the bush of consistently sarsaparilla vine, so got a bit out of the way so it wouldn't run right into me. As I watched it from side angle i saw its head appear and thought, oh its a wallaby, but as it emerged I saw it was on four legs so thought it was a wild dog, but as it went away into the next thick bush, I noticed light coloured stripes at the rear near its tail when I realized that what I had seen was not anything I had seen before, like half dog, half wallaby but not a dingo. I kept away from the area for a few minutes to think about what had happened and decided to go look for it to check on what I had seen as i had never before heard of thylacine sightings this far north. As i searched for it, I noticed I could still hear slight movements in thick lantana infested bush, where there were big logs laying, a perfect hiding place. At this point I decided to let it be and I went to tell others what a strange thing I had seen in disbelief it was a thylacine. I researched on the computer all afternoon for a dog-like marsupial but could find no other explanation. My Girlfriend had seen this same animal running awkwardly down our road and into the bush 4 months prior
Discussion:
Even though the description of the animal spotted was very similar to a thylacince , with only one wittiness and also them probably never have seen one before , it is hard to say weather this man has really spotted a Tasmanian tiger or not.Another factor to consider would also be his location, many Tasmanian tiger stayed closer to the lower half of Australia and when not extincted , were rarely seen in Queensland.

Sighting Two
3rd of December 2013 about 2.45 pm
location was the south eastern corner of the narambeen shire on Anderson Rocks road just before Sedgewick road. I was driving down the road transporting a harvester from Ardath to East Hyden. Seconds after I had passed a shire grader I saw a large "cat like" creature dash out onto the road. The animal was sandy brown in colour and had a masculine body and stood around a meter in height. The most distinctive thing about it was the long tail which almost dragged along the ground. It moved quite quickly across the road an ran like a lion. I stopped an looked into the bush but it was long gone. After I continued along the road I passed another grader driver before I turned onto Sedgewick road.
Where I actually was wasn't all that far from where the farm land finishes and it turns to bush, you could see the bush line from a nearby hill as I continued.
In the early 90's my dad saw one when they were driving through the reserve 50kms east of Perth, my mum was driving when it ran across the road and my dad got out and he followed it through the bush for nearly 20 minutes, he has written all about it.. They even sent it into a few magazines back then.
I have travelled most of Australia myself and I have seen a lot different animals in the wild and captivity but nothing like this, a thylacine is the closest thing I can match it to. In hindsight I should have got out and looked at the tracks on the sand but to be honest I was a bit shaken up by what I had seen I didn't know what to do! There is a lot of bush out there so who really knows what could be out there.

Discussion:
This sighting is very hard to depict if it was really a Tasmanian tiger or not , this man didn't see said thylacine very long .So it is very likely that it was no actually a thylacine
